Synopsis


Lead the delivery of long term technical projects/programs to ensure objectives are met according to plan, schedule, and budget to meet business objectives


Accountabilities


  • Coordinate full lifecycle of aircraft transfer, including induction planning to technical acceptance, regulatory certification and redelivery execution
  • Ensure alignment with contractual terms and airworthiness standards
  • Participate in the discussions with internal stakeholders on Letter of Intent (LOI) and Lease Agreement (LA) signatures
  • Communicate contractual conditions with all stakeholders within Technical department, and collect their feedback to support final contractual drafts
  • Track major milestones and provide regular status reporting of ongoing projects and milestones
  • Manage aircraft transfer activities, working with relevant departments to ensure a smooth induction/exit of used aircraft.
  • Liaise with lessor/lessor representatives during aircraft induction/exit phases as Etihad's main Point of Contact (PoC)
  • Coordinate physical visits to the aircraft and organize inspection teams prior to aircraft acceptance
  • Support smooth EIS by coordinating with lessors all organizational requirements and departmental requests
  • Manage aircraft phase out activities including coordination of maintenance slots and defining workscope
  • Determine redelivery conditions to be fulfilled in the best interest of the airline and coordinate with internal stakeholders for the same
  • Prepare reports providing updates on key milestones and issues to senior stakeholders to ensure critical areas are addressed in a timely and acceptable manner
  • Ensure major risks and issues are highlighted and managed on a timely and efficient manner
  • Contribute to developing / improving policies, standards, core processes principles, to ensure continuous development of Project Management methodologies


Education & Experience



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent education (i.e. vocational certificate)
  • Project management qualification (e.g. PMP, APM, or PMI membership) or proven knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g. PRINCE2, Agile Project Management) is preferred
  • Minimum of 10 years technical experience in commercial aviation of which 3 years are in managing aircraft transitions
  • Knowledge of Aviation Regulations and Safety Management Systems
  • Proficient in effective communication, with fluency in English language
